Community Living Australia — Delivering Flexible Personalised Services

History

Community Living Australia came into being in 2015 when CLASS and Community Lifestyles came together.

The merger has put Community Living Australia in a strong position to offer our values-based, holistic and personalised services to more people than ever before, helping them to live the life they want to live and to achieve their own personal goals.

CLASS was initially formed in 1983 by a group of concerned parents living in Strathalbyn South Australia, looking for recreational activities for their children with disabilities. Organic and steady growth of the organisation saw CLASS expand to provide services to over 350 people living with disability across regional South Australia.

Community Lifestyles was formed in 1984 and grew to provide services to over 130 people living with disability in the Murray Bridge and Murray Mallee regions. A valued organisation within its local community, Community Lifestyles prided itself upon its client focused values and the positive relationships it had built within its local community.

Community Living Australia now supports close to 500 clients and employs over 500 staff across the state, servicing the following regions:

  • Adelaide Hills
  • Fleurieu
  • Southern Metro
  • Murraylands
  • Riverland
  • Kangaroo Island
  • South East.

Community Living Australia is committed to ensuring its clients and people with disability have valued roles in the community, the opportunity to accomplish their goals and the ability to realise their dreams.
