Written on the 7 December 2016
The Festive Season has truly begun!
It is now just over one week until the Strathalbyn Christmas Where the Angas Flows annual celebration and festivities! This inclusive event, being held on Friday 16 December, spreads joy throughout the community with a number of festivities including the pageant, carols and other entertainment.
This year, Community Living Australia is a partner organisation in providing the event. Other partners include the Alexandrina Council, the Strathalbyn Tourism and Lakes Association, the Strathalbyn Inter-Church Council and LJ Hooker who will be putting on a spectacular fireworks display. The Christmas Pageant begins at 6:30pm and winds its way through the heart of historic Strathalbyn to the Soldiers Memorial Gardens down by the Angas River. During the pageant our fantastic staff and client volunteers will have the opportunity to celebrate the holiday season with their local community as they parade alongside our float, The Drummer Boy!
The Carols and Entertainment will begin at 7:30pm, once the pageant is concluded, with the spectacular LJ Hooker Fireworks closing proceedings at 9:30pm.
Each year this wonderful local and family-friendly event brings the community together in time for the holidays, so be sure to show your support by coming along and joining in the festivities!
