CLASS and Community Lifestyles
appoint Chair for their merged organisation

Following the recent announcement of Community Living and Support Services (CLASS) and
Community Lifestyles' decision to merge, an announcement has been made regarding the merged
entity's name and appointment of a Chairman.

Bill Rowe has been appointed Chairman and the merged organisation will be known as Community
Living Australia
, though both CLASS and Community Lifestyles will be retained as trading names.
'Our clients, families and local communities will still know us as CLASS and Community Lifestyles
respectively,' Mr Rowe said.

'This was an important consideration for our Boards as both organisations have built enviable
reputations for quality, person-centred service and support,' he added.

Clients, families and stakeholders will continue to enjoy working relationships with the people they
have always worked with. 'People know and trust us and by keeping our trading names, there will be
little to no disruption to services and support,' Mr Rowe said.

The merger will create the largest South Australian regionally based not-for-profit disability services
provider, employing more than 350 individuals and supporting over 500 people living with disability,
and their families.

Joining Bill Rowe on the Board is current Chairman of Community Lifestyles, Ken Coventry OAM, JP.
Mr Coventry has been appointed Deputy Chairman of Community Living Australia. The remaining
Board members have been appointed from both Community Lifestyles and CLASS.

'Ken brings to Board extensive leadership and governance skills having spent 31 years as a practicing
CEO in Local Government. Having been recognised through numerous awards, Ken's contributions to
enhancing local communities are invaluable,' Mr Rowe added.

The merger is expected to take effect from 1 July 2015, and Mr Rowe and the Board will be focused
on ensuring that CLASS and Community Lifestyles provide high quality services for the long term.
'Regional communities and people have long experienced significant barriers to receiving the services
and support necessary we are focused on breaking down these barriers and ensuring people with
disability living in regional communities receive the necessary support to have the best life possible.'
Mr Rowe added, 'in doing so, we will also be supporting regional communities to become more

CLASS and Community Lifestyles will also be focusing their attention to being an employer of choice.
'The introduction of the National Disability Insurance Scheme will see us employing more and more
people. I believe it is our team's professionalism, commitment and experience that sets us apart
from other providers,' said Mr Rowe.

Mr Rowe is currently Chairman of CLASS, having joined the Board in 2007. He has a strong
connection with the organisation as he has a son who utilises the services of CLASS and is keen to
ensure quality services are available to people with disability across regional communities. Mr Rowe
is an active member of Rotary and enjoys the opportunity to volunteer in the community. Having a
diverse business background through work in the flour milling industry, rural merchandise businesses
and the wine industry has established Mr Rowe as a strategic thinker and strong leader committed to
people with disability.
