On Saturday afternoon December 19, over 20 of our clients and staff in the Murraylands had the pleasure of being involved in the 2016 Murray Bridge Christmas Pageant.
Over 60 floats were entered in this year's event and thousands of people lined the route which snaked its way through the centre of town from Standen Street, down Bridge Street and culminated at the wonderful Sturts Reserve where the after pageant entertainment, food, rides and fireworks carried the celebrations on into the evening...
Our float "the Little Drummer Boy" was exceptionally well received by the public with parents pointing it out to their children and feedback being received from multiple sources that it was one of the highlights of the pageant.
Our clients and staff who were involved had a fantastic time saying hi to people they knew along the route, giving out hi-5's to members of the community and just being a part of such a great and inclusive community event.
Congratulations must go out to the Murray Bridge Community for their great support of the event, The Rural City of Murray Bridge and the organisers for organising the event and the sponsors and volunteers who all came together to make it possible. We would also like to congratulate the other pageant entries on putting together some absolutely fantastic floats.
On behalf of our organisation we would also like to extend special thanks to all of our volunteers for their help on the day and for their efforts in ensuring "The Drummer Boy" was pageant ready, we couldn't have done it without you. And of course we also need to thank our wonderful staff and clients for their keen participation in the event! You all represented yourselves and the organisation beautifully. Check out some photos of the Pageant in our gallery, wishing you all a safe and happy holiday season!
