Regional Manager - South East

Permanent Full-Time Position

Due to our ongoing growth and commitment to support people with disability live fulfilling lives, we are currently seeking an experienced Regional Manager to lead our broad and growing South East team.

About You

Based at our Mount Gambier Office, this role will suit a skilled and experienced manager and leader who can balance enhancing the lives of people with disability and their carers with meeting organisational values and needs.

If you are resilient, like working with autonomy while leading a team and can build relationship internally and externally to the organisation to benefit clients and your team, you will be a great success in this role. The introduction of the National Disability Insurance Scheme require you to be able to manage in an ambiguous environment and be highly responsive to market changes; your innovative style will support service excellence and client satisfaction.

You will be a strong leader and bring exceptional experience and skills to the role which will result in your team looking to you for coaching and guidance. The development of your team will be rewarding and will need to be balanced within organisational priorities.
A strong peer group and executive team will support you to be successful.

Your New Role

Our client focussed successful applicant will be responsible for leading operational teams ensuring services reflect client needs, the organisation's core purpose, and deliver on agreed quality outcomes for clients and the organisation. Other primary duties will include:

  • Provide regional leadership to promote the dignity and positive image of clients within their communities, maximising the opportunities for clients to participate in and contribute to the communities in which they live
  • Develop strategies, actions and timelines to meet the strategic plans and organisational business objectives within the region
  • Ensure growth in financially sustainable services in line with set expectations, that meet clients needs
  • Lead the Client Services operational and strategic planning at a regional level, including innovation, planning projects and negotiating the allocation of resources

What You Bring

To be considered for the position, you will be able to display a strong level of decision making and leadership skills in exercising mature and professional judgement in complex situations.

You will also demonstrate:

  • Tertiary qualification (post-graduate) in Human Services or a relevant management discipline or demonstrated competency or experience.
  • 5+ years' experience at a Management Level
  • Significant and substantial experience in Community Services with demonstrated experience managing multifaceted services
  • Proven ability to establish strategic partnerships to achieve organisational outcomes
  • Ability to provide leadership, direction and motivation to staff
  • Capacity to liaise and negotiate with funding bodies
  • A high level of interpersonal and communication skills including demonstrated skill in production of reports and documentation
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft desktop products such as Work, Excel and Outlook
  • Ability to contribute to policy development including recommendations

Marketing Officer 0.6 FTE - Murray Bridge

Permanent Part-Time Position

Level 4 Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Award

The Marketing Officer position is ideal for an early career professional looking to work in a growing sector in a role with exposure to all facets of our organisation.

The role would suit someone who can take initiative and engage with stakeholders whilst supporting marketing and business development strategy implementation. 

Based at our Murray Bridge Office and reporting to the Marketing Coordinator your duties will include but won't be limited to:

  • Support planning, development and execution of communications/marketing plans and stakeholder engagement initiatives
  • Maintain Community Living Australia Grants and Media Registers, including monitoring that reporting requirements for successful grants are met
  • Assist in the preparation of all marketing collateral, including quarterly newsletters, Annual Report and website
  • Inform and support the implementation of the organisation's social media strategy
  • Support coordination of various types of advertising and advertising campaigns
  • Support in the development of marketing collateral such as flyers, posters, banners, stationary, videos etc. 
  • Develop engaging content to be used across all communication channels
  • Support in the preparation, running and promotion of events and activities including expos

The successful candidate will have proven experience in a Marketing and/or Media related role, supporting the implementation of marketing and advertising communication. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential, as is the ability to work autonomously with attention to detail.

You will have previous experience in preparing media engagements/speeches and have the ability to work collaboratively within a team to achieve outcomes. You will be able to demonstrate significant competency in computers and technology along with relevant marketing systems and platforms.

Quality Officer

Full-Time Fixed Term Contract (01/12/2017 - 29/06/2018)

Level 4 Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Award

We are looking for a responsible Quality Officer to maintain administrative processes in a timely and effective manner ensuring the organisation operates within the Quality Management Framework.

The role is responsible for promoting and increasing knowledge and understanding of compliance within relevant legislation and funding obligations under the NDIS.

Reporting to the Executive Assistant your duties will include but won't be limited to:

  • Assist to maintain and implement the organisational Quality Management Framework
  • Maintain the Quality Management Framework, Risk Register and systems to ensure compliance to current legislation, regulations and Codes of Practice are maintained
  • Champion the implementation of Quality projects and initiatives
  • Contribute to the planning, review and implementation of appropriate policies, procedures and systems
  • Provide support mechanisms to Client Services to manage investigations and actions following incidents of concern
  • Maintain the Incident Report Register
  • Promote awareness of Quality management to all employees

The successful candidate will have proven experience in a business environment and associated mitigation strategies/tools. You will have the ability to interpret relevant legislation and contracts and make specific recommendations as required. Highly developed oral and written communication skills are essential as is the ability to problem solve. You will be able to demonstrate the ability to keep comprehensive and accurate records in a multifaceted environment and provide timely advice to relevant parties.

We are looking for a Team Leader who will lead a team of disability support workers to deliver quality/person centred/customer focussed outcomes in line with client expectations. Servicing the Murraylands region you will be a key contact and relationship champion with individual clients and carers.

Reporting to the Regional Manager (Murraylands), your duties will include but won't be limited to:

  • Ensure the successful daily operation of programs and effective administration of service budgets
  • Participate in the implementation of frameworks to support therapeutic service delivery
  • Ensure high quality services are being provided to our clients
  • Identify the need for the development of behavioral support plans
  • Advocate both internally and externally for people with a disability and their carers
  • Manage daily rosters including filling and amending shifts ensuring services and support of the clients is maintained
  • Participate in "On-Call" duties
  • Manage develop and motivate staff fostering a positive workplace culture
  • Assist with recruiting, induction and maintaining and workforce that meets the needs of the clients and standards of the organisation

The successful candidate will have proven experience in supporting people with disabilities in community settings. Excellent verbal communication skills are essential, as is the ability to build positive relationships with employees at all levels. You will have previous experience working with clients with complex behaviours and the skills to develop, design and implementation program plans. You will be able to demonstrate strong leadership qualities and a passion to assist in the development of your peers.

We are looking for enthusiastic and innovative Support Workers to join our teams across all our serviced regions. The role will provide person centred active support to clients, maintain their wellbeing, explore opportunities and support their individual aims and goals.

Reporting to the Team Leader, your duties will include but won't be limited to:

  • Daily tasks, activities and schedule to ensure a safe comfortable living environment, maintaining appropriate physical and emotional support to clients at all times
  • Provide support and services to clients with the Person Centered Active Support model
  • Encourage individuals living with a disability to be engaged in their own lives
  • Assist clients with their personal health care and mobility needs
  • Administer medication and undertake other health care interventions
  • Assist in promoting a positive image of clients within the community
  • Be an effective role model for clients and carry out all tasks and functions in accordance with relevant Standards, Codes, Policies and Procedures
  • Work collaboratively with peers and colleagues to achieve client and organisational objectives

The successful candidate is required to meet the following minimum requirements:

  • Certificate III in Disability (Individual Support) or equivalent
  • Class 1 Drivers Licence
  • Obtain and maintain DCSI (Child Related) clearance
  • Obtain and maintain Senior First Aid and CPR certificate
  • Obtain and maintain Child Safe Environments certificate (where applicable)
  • Working effectively as part of a team, you will have the ability to follow instructions but also work productively with limited supervision.  You will have a willingness to assist clients with their personal care needs and encourage clients to participate in program and community based programs.
